Gregory Perez, O.D.
Gregory R. Perez, O.D. is a proud lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana. After graduating from Hammond Morton High School Gregory received his bachelor's degree in biology at Indiana University, Bloomington. He completed his doctorate studies in optometry at Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL.
Gregory has been practicing optometry in Northwest Indiana since 2013 with a focus on primary care. His clinical interests include diagnosing and managing cataracts as well as treating "red-eye" infections. Gregory is a member of the American Optometric Association, Indiana Optometric Association, and is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
When he isn't in the office, Gregory enjoys spending time outdoors with his dog Zulu and refining his driving skills, both in his car and on the golf course.
Samantha Beard, O.D.
Samantha Beard, O.D. has lived happily in Valparaiso, IN for most of her life. After earning her
bachelor’s degree in biology at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI, Samantha then went on to fulfill her
dream of being an optometrist at Illinois College of Optometry, graduating in 2019.
One of Samantha’s favorite aspects of optometry is working with kids in pediatrics. She loves
helping them to improve their vision. Some of her other clinical interests include primary care and
keeping an “eye” on progressive diseases of the eye.
Outside of work, Samantha enjoys running and doing yoga to stay healthy. She also enjoys
reading and curling up in bed with her dog, Elliot.
